"Loop detected on interface" occurs despite different VLAN

I divided the VLAN by VLAN ID1 and VLAN ID2, but I set the VLAN of antaging by the access VLAN by the port which inserts LAN.

I set up port 1 (VLAN 1) and port 2 (VLAN 2) separately in connection between switches, but if I connect the LAN cable to port 1 only, VLAN 1 will be connected. If you insert, Loop detected on interface will occur on LAN1.

The opposite switch uses the DELL switch, and the VLAN is matched.

If you have any information, I hope you can teach.

Also, port 2's configuration may not have been successful though port 2's VLAN 2 alone is not working ....

Since you did not use SaveConfig, are there settings etc. not reflected?

Re: "Loop detected on interface" occurs despite different VLAN

Hi smiya,

Suggest to configure MSTP based on VLAN, same setting on peer DELL switch, send us the configuration and we will help you review if you still see any issue.

Re: "Loop detected on interface" occurs despite different VLAN

Thank you very much.

Disable STP on port 2 as it may only be blocked by STP prior to configuring MSTP.

If port 2 still does not connect, I would like to consider MSTP.

Re: "Loop detected on interface" occurs despite different VLAN

Port 1 is untagged and VLAN 1 only.
Port 2 is untagged and VLAN 2 only.

It is recommended to set up MSTP.

Both port 1 and port 2 are different in VLAN.

You can see that if the same VLAN has two ports connected to the same switch, it loops.

What is the reason for detecting loops in different VLANs?
