'static manal lag' and hash mode to use on L3 switch

Hello

Our main switch is a gsm7252sv2  .   We have lags set up to pfsense and 10+ virtual machine hosts.

for a seconday network we purchased a JGS524PE  which has ' Static Manual LAGS only' .

My questions  are :

On the L3 switch:  which 'Hash Mode' is compatable ?

What other setting should be used at LAG Configuration?

best regards, Roberto

Re: 'static manal lag' and hash mode to use on L3 switch

Hi Roberto

Because Web Managed Plus switches like JGS524E only do static LAG with MAC address parsing,  on your Fully Managed switch (M5300 - GSM7352S), you should create a LAG and use static mode with our default hashing:

  • Static Mode = ENABLED
  • Hash Mode = 3 - Source/Dest MAC, VLAN, ETH
