stp configuration questions
Hello
I have a netowkr consisiting of 2 L3 and 3 L2 netgear switches.
We want to configure the switched in a loop so that if a wire is cut , then the network would keep working.
I assume this is possible using STP.
If so could I get a suggestion on how to configure
GS108T:
Operation mode: rstp or mstp ?
BPDU Floodinf: shoud we enable/
thanks in advance.

Re: stp configuration questions
You're going to be using RSTP, use MSTP if you're going to be using several VLANs.
No don't enable this as it wont be needed.
Unless you know how STP works and how a root port and blocking port is elected this will be a difficult implementation.

we will eventually use VLANS,

We have 2 layer 3 switches and have them set as:
* for the GSM7328S in the rack, set Bridge Priority to 0 . 0 = highest priority.
* for the FSM7328S set bridge priority to 4096
* the rest should adjust them selves to 32,000+
I want to use MSTP , for reliability.
Are there other specific settings you could suggest?
high availability is import to us.
