Frame auto-wakes in AM when suspended the night before

I suspend my Canvas by pressing the power button at the end of the evening (no sense in running it when everyone's in bed).  However, it seems to wake up on its own when the room is brightened with the morning sun.  When we manually suspend the frame, it should not wake until the power button is pressed again.

Thank you.

It sounds like you have your canvas set to go to sleep when the room gets dark, and to turn on when the room becomes light again (this is a setting under the Light Sensor section of the app).  Manually powering off the canvas does not override this function, so in the morning it will turn back on.

Thank you kindly for the reply.  Yes, I assumed the functionality is as you described.  This seems like a strange choice to me, though.  If a user is choosing to turn off the canvas, it should respect the user's choice and not wake up automatically.

I'm trying to reduce energy usage when no one is looking at the Canvas.  With the functionality as it is now, I need either to give up the ability of the frame to turn off automatically in the dark (and have the frame wake up first thing in the morning, as the room has East-facing windows), OR I need to give up on the frame turning off automatically in the dark so it doesn't wake in the morning without user input (thereby potentially wasting energy at night).

Please give us an environmentally-friendly ability to have the automatic light sensor NOT override the display when the user physically turns the canvas off.

      Thanks for listening!
