5GHZ Wifi cannot be enabled on AC800S
I have a new AC800s with Optus (AU), all connected a running fine.
However, I want to enable the 5GHz band (run 5 & 2.4GHz together.
On the modem, if I press WiFi on the home screen I can choose to turn on 5GHZ, but the slider at the top right won't move to the enable position.
If I login to the modem via the Netgear Mobile app I can select 2.4&5GHz but that does not enable it on the modem.
Can anyone offer advice?
Also, how do I find the firmware version on the AC800s?
Regards
emmsee

Re: 5GHZ Wifi cannot be enabled on AC800S
Hi @emmsee ,
By default the Optus AC800S is set to broadcast both 2.4G and 5G at the same time. If you have a device that is capable of connecting to 5G access points then you will need to search for the _5G SSID being broadcasted. For example if the 2.4G SSID is OPT-7D94 then the 5G SSID should be OPT-7D94_5G and uses the same password as the 2.4G.
