AC1200 wifi usb adapter internet but no internet

I bought the ac1200 to get wifi on my desktop using my mobile hot spot on my phone, both my xbox one and ps4 connect fine with internet, but on my PC it says I'm connected with internet access but it doesn't let me do anything online just says this page cant be reached make sure the name is typed in right, it says this on every page I try to connect to, and i can't connect to steam, discord nothing

Some mobile hotspots limit how many devices can be connected at a time. Is you're one of these hotspots? have you tried disconnecting a couple devices, rebooting the hotspot, and seeing if it works then?
