I also tried to make the update through the Netgear Genie Windows app, but with the same result.

Kind of good to see routers in other languages are having an issue. I tried switching from English->Auto->German->Spanish all with the same error.

I have the same problem.
I tried to update the firmware of my Dc112A-100EUS. (old firmwar : V1.0.0.34_1.0.60 and the new : 1.0.0.44_1.0.60)
It indicates that a new update is available. When I choose to update, it comes to the stage where it updates the language file and fails.

I tried to update firmware on my Dc112A. It says there is a new update available. When I select to update it gets to the stage where it is updating language file and fails. I have tried resetting modem and tried several times with no success.
I also tried to look for the new firmware files but i can't find them in the download centre.
Why is the suport for this produkt so bad?!

@Blanca_O any update on this? This issue has been reported over 30 days ago and most of us are still yet to see some solution. Thats 30+ days were running without the latest security fixes. As a seasoned software developer, I can assure you it does not take anywhere nears that amount of time to plug a install bug or patch the firmware.
Come on NetGear, Its about time you come to the party now.

DC112A-100EUS, DC112A-100NAS is 1.0.0.44
DC112A-1RDMES and DC112A-2RDMES for Oreedoo Latest FW is 1.0.0.42
DC112A-1Z1MES for Zain Latest FW is 1.0.0.42
Kindly check again if you already have the latest firmware.

@Blanca_O Thank you, however this does not address the issue that out routers are reporting firmware updates that are not valid for our models in that case. Clearly there is still a very obvious issue here.

You're kidding us now huh?
After a month's wait we will find out the latest FW for DC112A.
We have always known this - but since the language version does not work, we cannot update FW either.
Now you must solve this - we have all bought both a Smart Cradle Router and AirCard for very expensive money - but the support is under all criticism. There is not even a page to download the software manually. Shame on you!

Bianca, I think you've missed the actual point. Its not that we don't know the latest firmware revision for our devices, it is that the router itself is telling us there is an update and the update fails to load at the language table and cannot proceed.
Netgear can do better than this.

The fact that it will take over a month for your technicians to find a solution is not realistic and there is no real dialogue.
You have developed and sold the Smart Cradle, but you forgot the support somewhere along the way.
Visit the download center and enter "DC112A".
Firmware / Software: not available for this model.
Give us an answer now!

It is now six days since the Netgear Moderator latest post...
We get no answers, so the question is whether Netgear wants the hardware in return?
The timeline with all the misleading answers from Netgear can only mean one thing - that it's hardware failure.
If there were only problems with the firmware, it would have been fixed a long time ago!

It seems to be the new standard for NetGear support, wait time is +-10 days for some nonsensical, half baked, no value, re-iterated BS response that addresses nothing and solves nothing.

i just cannot understand why they don't release the firmware to the download center so we can at least rule out a problem with delivery via the webUI. We were alerted to the security fixes in the firmware quite some time ago in a Netgear email campaign, and now they they have decided to actually push out what they said they did it doesn't even install.
I used to think Netgear's reputation was bulletproof from using their managed and smart switches, but now I'm not so sure.

I have raised this issue several times to our engineering team. There are only few users who managed to get the firmware updated but majority are still having issue. And this is being investigated. We are now considering of posting the firmware on our support site. You may also send me a private message with the device SKU (DC112A-xxx) and I'll check with them if I can provide the firmware.
