Firmware update for Netgear AirCard 797
Hello all,
Today purchased a Netgear AirCard 797 to allow me to work remotely.
Found that even with perfect 4G signal; using the device to SSH to a remote VPS is near unusable.. the device itself is introducing quite a bit of lag.
Had a look at what firmware was available, as i'm not above a bit of binary hacking, to find there is nothing available (zero, zip, squat, nada..).
It is quite clear, that this product is using open source components - meaning any open source code used in this product internally, modified or not, legally needs to be available for the end-user.
I'm not seeing anything here, Netgear... thoughts thanks?
