How to update firmware when "up to date"

I am hoping a firmware upgrade will solve several problems with my new ATT M1 Nighthawk (MR1100) moble router.
How can I force my MR1100 to update firmware (12.05.05.14) to (12.06.11.00) when the nighthawk says "Current software is up to date."????
I've already downloaded the zip file & uncompressed. Now what can I do?
Thanks in advance,
Rob Mitchell

Hi @Myszek512
MR1100-1A1NAS and MR1100-2A1NAS SKUs are AT&T devices. There is no option to manually update the firmware as it is locked by the Internet Provider.

Re: How to update firmware when "up to date"
The MR1100ATT does check for updates. Any idea if AT&T will release one?
Parental controls are broken at this time, so it would be nice for Netgear and AT&T to at least restore that functionality.
