LB1120 stronger signal equals slower speed

Does anyone know what is happening when I have 2 bars of signal and great speed then when I use the network the signal goes up to 4 or 5 bars and the speed drops off. I have 30-40 MPs with 2 bars and .5-1.5 with 4 bars. The RSRP goes from -112 to -89. If I move the modem to an area with better signal strength I don’t have any sped to speak of.

Im guessing that the modem is switching between 4g and 3g that is why the speed change is happening. So when the signal gets to poor for 4g it switches to 3g and it looks at full strength but the speed will drop.

Actually I figured out that once you start using data it looks like the cellular tower passes you off to another tower. In this case the tower I am being passed to is slower. Still I’m thinking an outdoor antenna might improve the signal and speed of any tower I connect to.
