LB2120 Bridge / Router Failover
I am looking for a solution that would allow me to use the LB2120 LTE failover device to automatically switch between a WAN bidge and an LTE router mode.
I have a Draytek Vigor 130 PPPoE connected to an Apple AirPort basestation. My tests show that it is not possible to use automatic failover between the PPPoE modem and router. I have a second AirPort base station and notticed that in bridge mode the LB2120 can be connected to the first basestation thorugh the WAN port, and it does not interfere with normal operations of the network where the second basestation in bridged mode is providing wi-fi and Ethernet to my internet clients. The problem is that when switching to LTE which I am happy to have cut off the first basestation, I need the device out of bridge mode and into routing having cut the PPPoE router off.
To demonstrait visually:
(PPPoE DSL Modem) --> (AirPort PPPoE Router) --> (LB2120) --> (AirPort Bridge & Access Point) --> (Clients)
It would be even nicer to be able to have the LB2120 as the second device in the chain but this appears impossible.
If anybody knows how to get my solution to work automatically I'd be most grateful.
