LB2120 - Cellular Side Ping to LB2120.
LB2120 - Cellular Side Ping to LB2120.
The LB2120 is connected to a VPN via the cellular modem. Devices inside the VPN cannot ping the LB2120. The LB2120 can be pinged from the LAN side from a PC. A PC connected on the LAN side can ping devices on the VPN.
Anyone know if cellular side pings are disabled for security reasons? All the other devices connected by SIM card to the VPN can ping each other.

Probably similar to other variants, the WAN (WWAN) IP does not reply to pings.
One more point: Many mobile ISP deploy carrier grade NAT, and don't assign public IP addresses to the mobile devices (e.g. the LB2120 here) - this can prohibit the reachability from the Internet, too.

The LB2120 does not have the capability to participate in a VPN, there is no VPN software, no VPN concentrator, no VPN client. It just allows transparent VPN pass-through.
You might use some VPN software on a LAN connected device - of course the LB2120 won't be visible as a hop or with an IP address within the VPN. For the PC (where you run the VPN software I guess) does make use of the LB2120 as an Internet gateway - so of course it's reachable on the LAN.

Again, the LB2120 does not play a role in the VPN, does not participate as a VPN node - so it will remain invisible like any other provider devices (all the routers) in the data channel between the VPN nodes.
Inside of the VPN, you can only ping the VPN end points, e.g. the computers running the VPN software, not the routers establishing the Internet connectivity.

Re: LB2120 - Cellular Side Ping to LB2120.
Ok. Forget I ever mentioned the word VPN.
All these devices are on the same cellular network subnet. The LB2120 is the only device that cannot be pinged.
E.G. the SIM cards have fixed IP addresses say in the range 192.168.5.0/24. Modem A on 192.168.5.6 can ping modem B on 192.168.5.7 but cannot ping the LB2120 on 192.168.5.9.
