LB2120 - using an inline backup battery
I have an LB2120 LTE modem that provides backup in case of ISP outage.
I would like to also incorporate a backup in case of power outage. I use inline backup batteries for other devices, such as router, modem and home alarm system, with no problems at all.
However with this netgear product it seems incompatible.
The voltage of the battery is 12V and can provide up to 2.5A, which should be compatible with the netgear modem. The netgear power supply is 12V / 1A.
But I guess there is some test determine if the power cable is a genuine netgear product, because no other power cables work at all, unless they are netgear.
The modem power light turns amber for a few seconds, then it powers down.
Any advice or possible solutions much appreciated. Perhaps a netgear supported backup battery?

Re: LB2120 - using an inline backup battery
Hi pm1234,
We can not suggest using anything that is non NETGEAR on our devices. We also do not sell any NETGEAR backup batteries for the LB2120.
