Mobile Route AirCard 790s Telstra to be used for Smart Bro PH network

hi, I'm planning to purchase the AirCard 790s model from a second hand seller who claims he bought it from Telstra early this year. Was wondering does Telstra lock this devices into their network? Can I use them in PH using Smart Bro network. It says on this site:

the AirCard is compatible with Smart Bro PHI. But I'm worried that it maybe locked on Telstra if I bought the item in Australia.

Welcome to NETGEAR Community! 

Aircard 790s can be unlocked. You just have to make sure that you have the Smart Bro network APN settings.

Thanks! However I opted to use the Nighthawk M1 instead, as some topics mentioned its faster.
