Re: Mobile hotspot LTE MR1100 won’t stay on when connected
Hi Chris0404,
I wanted to confirm if your MR1100 device's firmware is up-to-date with the most current firmware? If not, proceed with the update. After the update, perform a factory reset on the device and let it boot all the way up.
Please let me know if this works. :]

Re: Mobile hotspot LTE MR1100 won’t stay on when connected
Okay thank you for confirming that. I'll take note of that.
Next step was to contact support to get further assistance on this.
It seemed like an abnormal issue.

Re: Mobile hotspot LTE MR1100 won’t stay on when connected
If you're using the MR1100 as a static 24/7 modem/router, you'll probably find that running on an upgraded QC 2.0 mains charger without the battery installed will cure the problem. I used this charger and took these actions to keep the temperature down. Other providers of QC chargers are available

Re: Mobile hotspot LTE MR1100 won’t stay on when connected
Att is aware of a “ battery drain” issue and is taking notes on it to send over to NETGEAR. I bet it’s the same issue however reps seems to be notating the issue incorrectly. It can seem like a dead battery issue because if I plug in the power cord, after it’s shuts off, A battery symbol comes up asking me to wait. It is almoat as if the battery has been dead and left that way for a while and it usually does take a few minutes to get some charge in it before it will start up. But, I know my battery is full and never will unless battery is pulled. Hope this all makes sense and helps

Re: Mobile hotspot LTE MR1100 won’t stay on when connected
@Chris0404: I know this isn't by any means ideal but perhaps you could try reducing the current draw to a minimum by doing things like switching off the 2.4GHz Wifi and just relying on the 5GHz, reducing the WiFi Range to Short, enabling WiFi Standby, etc. This might indicate whether or not the problem is a power or perhaps temperature issue.

You can find the setting at:
Settings -> Setup -> Wireless
Then change 'Wifi Standby' setting to Disabled.

Re: Mobile hotspot LTE MR1100 won’t stay on when connected
For the first few months of Nighthawk LTE hotspot ownership my experience was abysmal. The Nighthawk would repeatedly stop working multiple times per day for no rhyme or reason. We rebooted the Nighthawk 5 to 10 times per day just to feel like we were helping to get it back online. At the time we were running internal WIFI on the Nighthawk. FIRST: After reading this forum, I got the Anker Quick Charger The Anker did NOT fix my Nighthawk problem, however I continue to use it. SECOND: The second step was a bit more extreme and will not be appropriate for everyone. I bought a single 700MHz yagi external antenna. I turned off the Nighthawk WIFI. I connected Nighthawk to an existing home network via the ethernet port. This worked for me. We have not had one issue, one problem, one outage with the Nighthawk for months. It all depends on your needs. My needs are met. It's not pretty. But it works. Summary of the solution that worked for me:
1) Anker Quick Charger
2) Single External Nighthawk Antenna
3) Turn off Nighthawk internal WIFI
4) Connect Nighthawk to existing network via ethernet port
Why did this solution work?
a) My rural AT&T LTE signal is not the greatest. The Nighthawk has tiny LTE antennas with tiny gain. The Nighthawk "not working" may have been a result of poor LTE signal. Connecting the external antenna made a massive signal and performance difference.
b) Nighthawk WIFI has always been questionable. People saying only run one WIFI band. People saying only run WIFI low power. People saying upgrade to Quick Charger for WIFI to work. When too many people are having a sketchy experience with the internal wifi there is something up. My solution was turn Nighthawk WIFI off. Use a regular WIFI access point. Works perfectly.

That issue sounds similar with mine. I have random shutoffs, according the crashdump, caused by fatal error in SMS service of the device. I have sent error report to Netgear and I hope they will fix it to the next patch. I have MR-1100 EUS .

Yep, I got it through Telnet console. Command AT!GCDUMP prints details of the last crash event.
