Nighthawk® AX4 4G LTE Modem + WiFi 6 Router
Nighthawk AX4 4G LTE Modem + WiFi 6 Router
I run a DNS server on the local network and after spending over an hour with chat support I still couldn't get the concept of the DNS across to the other person. You see I work with computers every day and sometimes I even do the networking. You can not use a local IP address for the DNS server in the router. I know this because I bypassed the routers dns by assigning the IP on the client computer and it worked with no problems (yes, I have the forwarders setup) If I try to put the IP address in the router under use custom dns it doesn't work. This feature was working on the MOFI4500 that I had used previously and nothing has changed the reason I switched was because it was not a 1G connection.
If anyone knows a workaround please let me know.
Yes the firmware is updated to the latest version.

None of that is a model number. Look for "Model" on the product
label. "LAX20"? Firmware version?

As always, an actual version number would be more useful than your
opinion of what's "latest" today.

What happens when you try?
"can not" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

"doesn't work"? See "not a useful problem description [...]", above.
