Nighthawk M1 or M2 extern supply
Can the Nighthawk M2 or M1 work without an inserted battery and as a fixed router? In other words, operate connected only to the power supply.
Thank you.

Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
The manual for the MR2100 says:
Your mobile router can receive power from any of the following sources:
- Rechargeable battery included with the mobile router
- Wall socket using the AC adapter and USB cable
- USB port on your computer
I leave it to you to read the other manuals.

Re: Nighthawk M1 or M2 extern supply
The M2 works without a battery for sure. But there were reviews that the complete 9V 1.67A power adapter is not sufficient for intensive LTE and Wi-Fi operation. I bought Xiaomi Mi ZMI USB-A 18W QC 3.0 Fast Charge EU (HA612 Black) 9V 2A, I use both a charger and a power supply without a battery. Three months have passed and no complaints. But perhaps in your case the complete adapter will be enough.
