Re: Nighthawk M2 (MR2100) constant reboot

Sven P,

Thank you for your post. I can't download or access the Netgear app on my desktop computer - only on my mobile phone and Samsung tablet. This is in fact how the Telstra shop advised me to access the app.

Open a browser - and write http://m.home and hit enter

Take a look on your Quick Start instructions you received in the box.

Go to Set up the device and item 2 and follow instructions.

You do not change ETHERNET STANDBY option in the mobile ap.

Re: Nighthawk M2 (MR2100) constant reboot

So now my M2 doesn't stay connected to devices.  ie. when I come home and start up my laptop, it doesnt connect to the laptop, and when I look for the network, its not there.  So I go and wake up the machine and it appears again!  Frustrating!!!!!!!  Why is it doing this?

Re: Nighthawk M2 (MR2100) constant reboot

Update- I took the nighthawk back to Telstra last week and we attempted to do the latest firmware update while instore but it kept freezing. They exchanged the product and I have since updated the firmware with no problems since then. Hopefully the new software is helping things?

Re: Nighthawk M2 (MR2100) constant reboot

Hi All,
Just an update for you.
My M2 has now been running since latest firmware update.
It did a freeze once, but I think that was my own fault.
How is your experience. I think Netgear should be updated if we are all happy

Re: Nighthawk M2 (MR2100) constant reboot

I am also seeing this router 'hang' sporadically.

It will work for some time then just become unresponsive. Then decide to function again without intervention from anyone.

The behaviour seen is that the entire router stops responding, no traffic on the 4g link and no icmp response on the ethernet port.

I do have wifi on and when in this state I can connect to the device with the app. But in nearly every case if I then try to reboot the device using the app on the phone it permanently hangs until a physical reset pulling power cable.

Battery is not in, aerial connected to boost signal.

I have tried to find out how we can review logs on this device but not got anyway. There seems to be a dumbing down of the interface to the point that debugging a problem is almost impossibe. Anyone any idea how to get to see any logs?
