I have done the update and it was successful. data usage is now visible.

Hi
I have an MR1100 Telstra version with the "detecting service" problem. I have just updated to 12.06.08.00 and it still has the same problem. The PRI version is 05.05. I have tried ctrl F5 and a power up reset, is there anything else I can try?

I updated and have the 5.05 PRI showing.
It now shows data usage but an incorrect plan total.
It show usage of x.xxgb of 5GB whereas I have a 60GB plan with Telstra.
Any ideas?

Hi again
I have two telstra mr1100 so with nothing to lose I updated the second one and guess what it worked.
The only thing different from the first was it updated to PRI version 04.04 and I think 12.04.??.00 which did not work.
I then tried again and now have PRI 05.05 with 12.06.08.00 which is the same as my first nighthawk and it works.
Why one works and the other doesn't I will leave for you to think about.

Please contact Telstra for the incorrect data usage display first. The device just displays what are reported from the server.

The data usage issue was not caused by the FW. It was due to imcompatible server certificates. In PRI 05.05, the update certificates were loaded. That is why PRI 05.05 works and Pri 05.03 doesn't, even though they have the same FW version.

For individuals that are having problems updating the software, I take it that you are trying to update through the dashboard? I had No problems with the download for the installation process through the netgear Mobile app. try this, if you don't have any success on the dashboard. once the firmware has been updated do a reset on the unit see if that fixes the issue.

I upgraded today following the prompts on the unit. All appears to be working fine now. Wish the software update would have been offered sooner. Still, the unit was working even though it didn't show some of the info. I had to look up the usage on my Telstra account.

I have the common Telstra problem of the 'Detecting Service' and am trying to upgrade the firmware but it's coming up with an error everytime I try the download.
My firmware version is the correct one but the PRI is 5.03.
How do I upgrade the PRI?

I have the exact same issue, have "Detecting service" and trying to update FW (as it says there is one) but it keeps failing, tried from dashboard, phone app, even another SIM, always fails before starting any download.
Is there a link to a manual FW download?
I have PRI 04.04 and FW 12.06.02.00

Please make sure you have enough data on your plan for the download to be happen.
If it is not the case, please do a factory reset and try again.

My plan is a shared data plan which has 60gb but this sim card will only show 100mb on the screen (if it was working) as Telstra don't show the overall group data availability on a shared plan.
Would this stop the download and update?
Is it possible to get a link to the file and update manually? Or is there something else that might be wrong?

Hi John,
I'm on a post paid corporate plan with pooled data after I use my initial 4GB. According to Mobile Data Usage Meter website I still have 3.8GB free!
I've tried factory resetting before doing the previous post. I've also tried updating from the device itself, but it just triggers the same update error on the phone.
How can I download the FW manually and update locally?

I have used the main SIM card (which has 60gb worth of data) and that didn't work.
I have done 3 x factory resets and they haven't made a difference either.
I have tried the update on the device and through the dashboard and that hasn't worked either.
Any other suggestions?
