Unite Express 2 - Netgear AC797S battery required to operate?

I'm considering the AT&T Unite Express 2 - AC797S, is it possible to run the hotspot without the battery installed and only powered by AC/USB. I know the Nighthawk MR1100 can do this but can the AC797S work similarly.
