aircard 815s not leasing IPs after update
firmware version NTG9X40C_11.14.08.35, build date: 2018/04/10
hardware version 1.0
pri version 23112816, 02.05
webapp version:
ac815s-1a1nas_03.04.60.00
This hardware was automatically updated a few months ago - well it prompted me and I flubbed yes.
It now no longer leases dhcp addresses. I've factory resetted it a few times but this quirk hasn't stopped. I can get by on some machines if I can configure a static IP, but this is a no go for android and my car, or anything else without such sophisticated override options.
It's basically this topic but my router is still broken despite hoping for an update and checking many times: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Mobile-Routers-Hotspots-Modems/Unite-Explore-815S-DHCP-not-working/...
Worst case: Is there anyway to downgrade the firmware on this thing?
The ISP , unlimited lte advanced hasn't helped out one bit. This has been broken for months now.

Re: aircard 815s not leasing IPs after update
any ideas? should I reach out to netgear in another way?
The device is perfectly fine from a modem/wifi link standpoint and mostly software... the dhcp server just no longer leases IPs.
