Hey all!
I have just moved to a new area and my ISP runs by phone line instead of cable. I will
Be renting their modem but am wondering if I can still uses my modem/router as the router. It has two gigabit ethernet ports. My question is can i connect from the modem to my device in order to provide Wi-Fi to my home?

If its strictly a modem? No.

If its a dsl modem/router combo device then you might be able to rig it to work with the C6220 as an access point style setup. Antinode did a write up for a C6300 that you can view here:

Thanks for help! The new modem is meant to arrive next Monday so I will try to report back then! I do not know for certain, but I believe the rented equipment (from Century Link) is a modem only unfortunately. I will still try the solution!
