Simple battery operated mifi should be fine at the begining. How many seats is there? Some operates up to 32 connections and some much less up to 10. So keep that in mind...

MiFi routers are NOT suitable for buses. That is terrible advice.

Cradlepoint routers are very low-grade devices. I've seen numerous major bus operators try them and eliminate them out of frustration.
