Hi @mosherjf,

If your router is supported, please make sure to use the Nighthawk App or the Orbi App to enable Armor. The links below may help.

Re: Advanced Cyber Threat Protection on Orbi WiFi System with Armor

Just like to get my original question answered.  After downloading bitdefender i opened dashboard on my iMac and it told me I should install TrafficLight on my browsers.  When I tried to do that it took me to a Bitedefender website "https://www.bitdefender.ro/solutions/trafficlight.html".

This site is not in the english language, ".ro".  I find this a little strange!

Probably was linked incorrectly or if you have VPN enabled which may have routed to that. I believe the link below leads to the English version.

Re: Advanced Cyber Threat Protection on Orbi WiFi System with Armor

Hi.  Have enabled Armor on my Orbi and quite a lot of activity since I have done so.  Is Armor a malware/anti-virus/phishing/etc. solution that can be run apart from the software based protecitons on the PC itself?  For example, I have Norton and Malwarebytes running on my PCs and have been very happy with the level of proteciton they offer.  Can I add Armor permantly and not be concerned with the old admonition not to run two anti-virus programs at the same time?  Thanks.

Hi @mgdurand1, thank you for your interest. Yes, you can run it alongside the device-installed programs since Armor runs on the router and will not take up your device system resource.

Re: Advanced Cyber Threat Protection on Orbi WiFi System with Armor

Actually @DexterJB or @Dustin_V  , there are a couple of points that perhaps you can elucidate for us.

In the following link https://kb.netgear.com/000059688/How-is-my-NETGEAR-Armor-subscription-different-from-the-Bitdefender..., Netgear clearly makes the distinction between Bitdefender Total Security 2019 as a standalone application vs using Netgear Armor (including Bitdefender Total Security).

What’s missing from the table included in that KB article is a third column showing the comparative features of using Netgear Armor as the standalone app, without activating Bitdefender Total Security.

Q1: What features does Netgear Armor cover if used as a standalone application, without Bitdefender activated.

Q2: It is also mentioned in a number of different KB articles that vulnerability assessment scans  at the router level are run every week. But having perused the Armor forum in the Community, it would appear that those vulnerability scans are not running, not weekly, not bi-weekly … actually never. What’s the scoop on this? And moreover, if and when the scans become available, what vulnerabilities will the scans be aiming at?

Q3: And when I look at all the devices in use on the router, all show ”Not yet scanned”. So what’s the scoop on that too? Does this also refer to the missing 'vulnerability assessment scans' at the router level?
