Hi mgdurand1, thank you for your interest. Yes, you can run it alongside the device-installed programs since Armor runs on the router and will not take up your device system resource.

Actually DexterJB or Dustin_V , there are a couple of points that perhaps you can elucidate for us.
In the following link https://kb.netgear.com/000059688/How-is-my-NETGEAR-Armor-subscription-different-from-the-Bitdefender-Total-Security-2019-subscription, Netgear clearly makes the distinction between Bitdefender Total Security 2019 as a standalone application vs using Netgear Armor (including Bitdefender Total Security).
What’s missing from the table included in that KB article is a third column showing the comparative features of using Netgear Armor as the standalone app, without activating Bitdefender Total Security.
Q1: What features does Netgear Armor cover if used as a standalone application, without Bitdefender activated.
Q2: It is also mentioned in a number of different KB articles that vulnerability assessment scans at the router level are run every week. But having perused the Armor forum in the Community, it would appear that those vulnerability scans are not running, not weekly, not bi-weekly … actually never. What’s the scoop on this? And moreover, if and when the scans become available, what vulnerabilities will the scans be aiming at?
Q3: And when I look at all the devices in use on the router, all show ”Not yet scanned”. So what’s the scoop on that too? Does this also refer to the missing 'vulnerability assessment scans' at the router level?
