I am contemplating activating Netgear Armor. I believe I am familiar with the basic concept - I have been using Bitdefender Total Security for a couple of years now, and I have seen their advertising for their "non-Netgear branded" router solution (Bitdefender Box). I have one overarching question that I hope to get answered: does running Armor have an effect on internet speed? Does it slow down the connection?
If you do a search in this Netgear Armor forum, you'll find that some folks have noticed significant drops in speed and internet interruptions as well; while others have not. I haven't had any of these issues, except for the occasional fraction of a second lag when streaming 4K Netflix.
