NETGEAR Nighthawk AXE11000 Tri-band WiFi 6E Router (RAXE500)

I have a new RAXE500. It works great except when I turn on the on Armor.

If I turn on Armor then the router works for about 7 to 24 hours and then jams up the internet...almost like we had turned off the wifi.

A reboot brings back internet, but hours later it blocks the internet again.

I have turned off the Armor from the app and no problems for two weeks. So its almost 100% chance of the Armor as the problem. When the Armor is off the internet is crazy fast with no glitches....not one.

All software and drivers are up todate. I have rebooted the router and all the computers.

I want to use the Armor.

Is there a known problem with Armor?

Can I fix this?

Thank you.

What actual firmware are you on?

What modem/gateway is it connected to?

Have you tried a factory reset/reinstall? Maybe an old setting is causing an issue.

That modem is a modem/router combo device. Meaning it has its own routing capability.

Add in the fact that the router is on the 10.0.0.1 ip address which isn't the default. Its the ip address the router uses when it detects another router on the network on the 192 address. It means you're in a double nat and the modem/router could also be using some form of qos. Its called a double nat.

A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
        1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions.
        2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
        3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.
