What actual firmware are you on? v1.0.8.70_2.0.36
What modem is it connected to? Modem looks like a ZYXEL-Prestige-P-660HN-51-W or similar its from Hometelecom (the cable company intsalled it).
What is the gateway? Default gateway 10.0.0.1
Have you tried a factory reset/reinstall? No I have not tried that.

That modem is a modem/router combo device. Meaning it has its own routing capability.
Add in the fact that the router is on the 10.0.0.1 ip address which isn't the default. Its the ip address the router uses when it detects another router on the network on the 192 address. It means you're in a double nat and the modem/router could also be using some form of qos. Its called a double nat.
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions.
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.

All better now... The router works perfectly.
I called my cable company and they were already in the process of upgrading from the Zizel router to having everyone use thier own router with either a Apple TV or FireStick with an App that we can direct stream from.
Bottom line they took their router out so my Nighthawk is the only router. That was the problem....two routers inline.
They came in last week and took out the Zizel box (router)... and I am now able to connect my router directly into the Internet without a second router inline.
I have turned on my Armor and absoluetly no problems over the past week.
