Netgear Armor access lost after latest firmware update.
I can no long access Armor after the latest firmware update. I paid for the 1 year after the 90 freebie trial. I was always able to get in before the update. Any help would be appreciated.
Than...

Hi Neil53, thanks for the update. Yes, as experience by some other users as well, it is best to have Bitdefender sort it out on their end and make sure that the license is activated on the correct email/credentials. I believe you are already in contact with Bitdefender's support team.

Hey DexterJB,
I use the same email with Netgear and Bitdefender. I find it unacceptable to have to "factory reset" the router and then reconfigure, but I guess that is what I will have to try next. Why not fix the issue with a new firmware release?

WHAT IS THE STATUS OF THIS? I can't get my Armor subscription to work either after the firmware update. ARGGH!

Since I bet this is happening to everyone who wasted their money on Armor, I am wondering, DO THEY TEST FIRMWARE BEFORE RELEASING IT? So frustrating.

Mine did not work because when I did a reinstall I changed my email address so. If you do a reinstall make sure you use the email address on file with armor or email them with your new email address that the only way that they change it

- KennyP14May 01, 2019TutorHave not done a factory reset yet. Shouldn't have to. I don't want to lose all my settings. I guess I will reset tomorrow. Ridiculous.

- KennyP14May 02, 2019TutorFactory reset worked. Is this how it's gonna be with every firmware update? Really annoying to have to do a reset and lose all my settings.

Not very good is it. First the firmware upgrade process bricked my Router costing me an hour to unbrick it - and now you want me to factory reset it and waste more time putting the settings in again? I am not looking forward to the next release!
- KennyP14May 02, 2019TutorSeriously NETGEAR, we are the exact kind of hardware customer you want. The kind that buys the hardware AND is willing to also pay for additional services via a subscription. HOW DO YOU NOT TEST THOUROGHLY? I really don't get it.

I don't have Armor, not yet. Having spent some time in this forum to read various posts, I'm glad I didn't and will likely keep it the idea on the back burner until things settle down. This Armor initiative is still relatively new, so I think it is normal to expect some hiccups here and there. That being said, I am surprised that a factory reset was necessary ... I would have thought that a simple reboot would have done the trick.
