Registration & bit defender issues

Hello!
I purchased a refurbished router from Amazon. I’ve tried to register my new router (RBE971), but get a "This Serial number has already been registered in our system by a support representative"
Other products I bought went fine to register here.
I contacted NETGEAR (Case # 48364156).
It would be nice if someone from Netgear, or anyone could solve this for me. But unfortunately they closed my ticket immediately stating nothing about the registration and only that bitdefender couldn’t be transferred to the new router and they were disabling auto renewal. Which is annoying because I had already disabled that and that I have lost protection service that should have lasted till 09/26/2024.
Please community. I really need help. At bare minimum, a way to register. I don’t want to take the loss on paying for a service that I can’t utilize, but am willing to accept that loss.
