Unable to activate Armor on my Orbi RBK50

I bought a second hand Orbi, and after some help from Netgear Support I was able to register the unit in my name on my.netgear.com.
When I try to activate Armor on my android phone,I am unable to register in my name. When I log into my account on armor.netgear.com, I am told that there is no router associated to that account.
When I log in to the previous owners account, the Orbi and all my devises are present.
What can I do to be able to use my own Armor account with my Orbi?
