Who designed this thing???
Ok. I'm not the first one with this observation:
Why in the world isn't this designed like every other rackmountable device ever made by Netgear with power in the back and indicators and patching on the front?? To make matters worse, the panel you call "back" is to the FRONT of a typical rack! The icing on the cake is that this can ONLY be mounted in a rack this way. One cannot mount this with the "front" panel with the indicators facing to the FRONT of the rack. Was it the project manager's first project???

Re: Who designed this thing???
Thank you for picking up, too. Not much to add 8-) You might want to buy some inspection mirrors to be able to see the BR500 LED inside of the rack. The "consideration" went to /dev/null ... almost like the many firmware design limitations (and mistakes). @YeZ - can't see any progress, no real rack mount version, no fully VLAN tagging capable firmware, ....
PS. No, fellow YeZ isn't the product manager in charge.
