"Forward BPDU while STP Disabled" option via app / cloud.
Hello everybody,
I am trying to find an option called "Forward BPDU while STP Disabled" in the Netgear Insight app, but I cannot locate it there. I need this option for my mesh routers to be able to talk to each other. I can connect directly to my switch via a web-interface, turn off the cloud control, select "Switching -> STP -> Basic" and enable this option. Everything works fine and as expected, but the prolem is that local settings are not saved when the control is returned back to the cloud.
Since I like to control my switch(es) via the Insight app, I would like to know if I have maybe overlooked something and what other possibilites are available to have this option enabled.
Kind regards,

Hi schumaku,
Thank you for your reply.
I have contacted the Netgear support and got a confirmation from them that this option is not available in the app/cloud. However, it's turned out that only insight app-managed settings are over-written when the control is returned to the app. Therefore, the recommendation in this case is to change this setting locally, return control to the app and enjoy. That worked for me.
Regarding your question about the models, I've briefly googled that google wifi mesh units require this setting. That gave me a hint that my newly purchased huawei routers may be using the same. And yep, that worked. So basically it seems to be a solution for multiple models of mesh-routers that work with dumb unmanaged switches (that don't have STP/QOS), but not with the managed ones.
