Tech illiterate mom who can my figure out parental controls

I just got a nighthawk router from Costco and I’m trying to set up parental controls to keep my son and daughter safe online. But when I look at history all I see are numbers. Every now and then I’ll see a web address, but the majority is numbers. Same with the apps under usage. The largest list is unknown IPs. So how can I know what is good or bad from those lists if all I can see are numbers?
