After updating the firmware, the device does not start. I can't connect to it because there is no ip address. the radar does not see the device. The disc 1 and disc 2 indicators are not lit. Help

What firmware were you running before you did the update?  Is it possible that you were running 6.3.x or earlier?

Also, try removing the disks (NAS powered down), and then power up the diskless.  Do you see any LEDs (including power)?  Does RAIDar find the NAS with no disks inserted?

Re: 102

First there was the firmware Software Version 6.1.6. I have upgraded to 6.1.7 after which 6.1.8 after which 6.1.9.

After successful updates, I launched Software Version 6.10.8. The device rebooted and no longer turned on.

The Power bulb lights up and Acta. Without disks, only the power button

So you ignored this warning?

ReadyNAS 102, 104, and 2120 systems must not be updated directly to 6.10.x from 6.3.x or older firmware. They must first be updated to either 6.2.5 or 6.3.5 then to 6.5.2 and then to 6.10.x.

That might not be fixable.  You could maybe try a USB recovery.  You could also try inserting a single unformatted ("blank") disk, and then power up.  See if the system does a factory install.

Re: 102

Netgear has never explained the reason for this restriction nor the specific consequences if one fails to heed the warning.  I think it may have to do with changes in U-Boot.  I believe others have recovered from, this (the NAS at least, maybe not their data volume) with a USB recovery.  But I don't know if they did the recovery back to the earlier version or with the current one.

I am seeing one old post here where a user apparently used USB recovery with the 6.2.5 image.

Something is garbled here (maybe autocorrect)?   Can you try again?

Re: 102

Do you mean Booting from USB does not start?  Did you follow the instructions for creating the boot device for an ARM based system?  Is the USB device USB2 (not USB3), 32GB or smaller, and FAT formatted (not exFAT) with only one partition?

Re: 102

1) I downloaded the firmware

https://kb.netgear.com/000038794/RAIDiator-arm-Version-5-3-13-for-ReadyNAS-Duo-v2-NV-v2?article=0000...

2) Instruction manual

https://kb.netgear.com/21400/RAIDiator-4-1-USB-Recovery-Tool

3) Now I will try to install

Checked:

the power button and the backup button are flashing . The USB light bulb does not blink

Totally wrong firmware for a different ReadyNAS model.  You should be using this:

Re: 102

You also need to create an OS6 recovery tool: How-do-I-use-the-USB-Recovery-Tool-on-my-ReadyNAS-OS-6-storage-system unless you have given the wrong model number.
