3 Weeks of trying to Add 4 Disks to NV+

Having enjoyed the NV+ for 2 Weeks with 2 1TB Drives I decided to upgrade to 4 * 2TB Drives
That's when things started going wrong!
I assumed at the beginning it was me. I have tried both forms of configuration X-Raid and Flex

Symptoms
Blue Power Light flickers randomly changing level of intensity during the Initialisation (Not Flashing on and off, as it does during starting phase)
Various Disks being declared bad different disks which all operate fine when connected to an alternate USB Case and pass Disk Utility Checks
Finally whenever I try and boot with 4 Disks in after many hours of initialisation I come back to find the NV+ Powered Down

Help: What am I doing wrong? Or is the box/power supply faulty?

I must have tried configuring the thing more than 2 dozen times!

Re: 3 Weeks of trying to Add 4 Disks to NV+

You can't check the disks properly when they're in a USB case. Connect the disks to a SATA port on your PC and check them using vendor tools. Please run both long and short tests.

Can you try booting the NAS with just one disk? You may need to do a factory reset using the boot menu: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how_do_i_use_the_boot_menu

Please check what version of RAIDiator is installed on the NAS. If not the latest (currently 4.1.7: http://www.readynas.com/RAIDiator_4_1_7_Notes) please update to that.

What brand and model 2TB disks did you purchase?
