Just upgraded to firmware 6.10.6 and attempted an alert test using my AOL.com email address. Received the "Cannot send a test mesage. Check authentification settings. Code 5008010001"
I realized that I have not been receiving alerts for a while - probably since Verizon tightened AOL security a while back. Is there any fix, workaround or way to send a message via my SMS provider?

Got notifications to AOL working again. Had to go into AOL security and generate a 3rd-party app password. Instructions here:

Were you able to check your AOL settings? If they made security enhancements there might be a setting that is preventing ReadyNAS to access.
Have you tried recreating the settings? or rechecking with Verizon/AOL? Have you tried using a different provider? like gmail perhaps?
