Adding a previously used disk to a ReadyNAS 102
The documentation says that a previously formatted disk must be reformatted by the NAS before use.
As I understand, the only way to do this, is to insert the disk and do a factory reset, This means that the configuration is lost.
Is there a way around this?
Is it sufficient to delete all partitions on the disk, using Windows, before the disk is installed in the NAS?
Will NAS treat this as a new, unused disk?
Thank you.

Re: Adding a previously used disk to a ReadyNAS 102
Yes the Nas will format the disk, I would suggest deleting any existing partitions first.
You should then just insert the disk with the unit on.
You can backup your config using the GUI.
