CPU temperature exceeded safety threshold. (83 C).

Hello,

 

We are using ReadyNAS 524X there show of massage CPU temperature exceeded.

But think was room temperature is 25C.

 

So please suggest any solution on it.

Install a external USB fan for additional cooling.

  1. Obviously, insure the fan is operating properly. 
  2. Make sure it's not situated on a shelf or too close to a wall such that fan exhaust comes back to the inlet or fan backpressure is affected.
  3. If not already selected, change the fan setting to cool
  4. Check the fan blades for dust.  If it's collecting some, then so are the internal components.  Open the unit and clean it out with compressed air.  NOTE:  don't let the fans free-wheel, it can harm the bearings if you drive them faster than the fan is rated.  Use a pencil or something to keep the blades from rotating.
