Can I mix these Hard drives in a ReadyNAS NV+ v2 ?
Hi there,
I'm wondering if anybody can offer some advice on this:
I am an IT Assistant that works in a small business, we use a ReadyNAS NV+ v2 with four identical Hard Drives which are a
1TB Seagate Barracuda
Model - ST31000528AS
But unfortunately one of them has failed so we need to purchase a replacement, now this particular model has stopped being produced so they are hard to get hold of at a reasonable price.
I would like to know whether the ST1000DM003 model would work with the other three still in there? As this model has slightly different spec's but it is newer and a great deal cheaper.
Any other suggestion's will be much appreciated also.
Kind Regards
Angus Dominy

Re: Can I mix these Hard drives in a ReadyNAS NV+ v2 ?
Generally I suggest that people search the forum for their specific drive model before purchase. (googling "ST1000DM003 site:readynas.com" is one good way).
The ST1000DM003 is on the HCL for your NAS, and there is no problem with mixing/matching drives.
