Can I use 8TB drives in my 104
Ready NAS 104 and Synology DS213 user.
DS213 has been running for > 2 years w/o issue.
Just got the 104 to expand storage. I saw these Seagate 8TB drives for less than $300 a pop. Planning on Running RAID 10. (16TB total) Will this work?

Re: Can I use 8TB drives in my 104
The 104 supports volumes up to 16TB in capacity so RAID-10 should work. However we don't have any 8TB disks on the compatibility list and I'm not sure how well/badly those drives are suited to RAID use.

Re: Can I use 8TB drives in my 104
One thing I should add is that some high capacity disks are designed a bit differently to most disks and may not fit in the drive trays. That is another thing to consider in addition to the disk not being on the compatibility list.
