Re: Corrupt root ReadyNAS Ultra 2

If the disks are blank, then the Ultra should be doing a factory install - partitioning them, etc.

Perhaps try zeroing one of the disks again with Seatools, and then power up the Ultra with that disk in slot 1 (leaving slot 2 empty).  If that works, then hot-insert disk 2.

Re: Corrupt root ReadyNAS Ultra 2

Try unformatting the disk in Windows (open the Windows disk manager and delete every "volume" on the drive).

Or zero it using WD's Lifeguard program or Seagate's Seatools.

Re: Corrupt root ReadyNAS Ultra 2

If you boot up the system diskless, does RAIDar give you the normal "no disks" status?

Have you tried testing the disks with vendor tools (lifeguard or seatools)?

Re: Corrupt root ReadyNAS Ultra 2

Boot system diskless gives me " No disk" status

Seatools dosent report any problems with the disks

Wow It worked Thanks Stephen!! I Did zeroing one disk with Seatools usb boot, and started the Ultra with only one disk in slot 1 and after wizard inserted disk 2.
