Data Degraded
Hi
I noticed the unit flashing data DEGRADED and also Bay 2 Flashing.
I switched the unit off, removed Bay 2 and switched it back on.
Unit is still flashing data DEGRADED
Since I was no further forward, I refitted Drive into Bay 2 but, now it does not show up when i go into Ready NAS.
How can I fix this?

Re: Data Degraded
Normally that means that the disk in bay 2 has failed. The other possibility (less likely) is that the SATA interface in the chassis failed.
Did you look into the logs? There should some indication of failure in there.
If you have access to a windows PC, you test the drive with WD's Lifeguard diagnostic - connecting either with SATA or using a USB->SATA adapter/enclosurer.
BTW - do you have email alerts configured on your system? If not, it is a good idea.

Re: Data Degraded
Well, the system thinks the disk was removed (not failed). However some disk (and chassis) failures might look like the disk was removed.
Can you connect the disk to a windows PC?
Try downloading the log zip file - you can see some information on the drives in smart_history.log.
