File Search feature - How to exclude folders
And again I decided to give a try to ReadyNAS File Search - and again, I see no way to exclude git repos and other dot-folders from indexing. If the folder name is starting with * or . (dot), it won't add the name.
I'm ok with adding it through CLI or editing some configs.
Does anyone have solved the problem?
Firmware: 6.10.1

Re: File Search feature - How to exclude folders
Your question seems self-contradictory. Do you want to include folders that start with * or . and they currently don't index, or do you want to exclude them because they currently do?
A leading dot in Linux makes a file or folder invisible. So, yes, they would normally be excluded from a search index. A leading * needs to be escaped or included in quotes. And it is illegal in Windows and SMB, so may be intentionally excluded.

Re: File Search feature - How to exclude folders
It's impossible to add the dot-folders or *names to the "excluded folders" list in the Search settings.
