Firmware update still says 'Upgrading'; Moving to FW 6.6.1
I started the Firmware upgrade on the ReadyNAS about an hour ago and RAIDar now shows the unit with a different IP, inaccessible and 'Upgrading'.
How long should the process take and what steps SHOULD I be taking right now other than wait? I received the initial email that the system was 'rebooting' but nothing after that point.
Thanks.
R.

Re: Firmware update still says 'Upgrading'; Moving to FW 6.6.1
I waited for 2Hrs and then had the unit power cycled (it's at a remote location). I ran RAIDar again and I'm still getting the same 'upgrading' message. Any suggestions on what to do or what may be going on??

Are you upgrading to 6.6.1 or from 6.6.1?

Re: Firmware update still says 'Upgrading'; Moving to FW 6.6.1
I'm not entirely sure. When the Firmware 'Upgrade' popped up on the screen when I logged on, I Ok'd it as it was a good time to get done and didn't think to note the version. Currently, RAIDar shows Status: Upgrading and Firmware under that shows as: 6.6.1

Re: Firmware update still says 'Upgrading'; Moving to FW 6.6.1
F/W 6.7.0 was never available via the auto-update, afaik anyway. So you're probably upgrading to 6.6.1.
Do you what F/W you're coming from though? While it may take some time to update if you were running an old F/W, 2 hours is just too long.
Can you access the GUI now? (partially? does it ask for credentials?)
Is SSH enabled?

Re: Firmware update still says 'Upgrading'; Moving to FW 6.6.1
Thanks for the Help!
No GUI of any kind coming up and using KiTTY SSH is not connecting on the IP indicated by RAIDar. As for the previous version, I thought I had checked in the near past and it said that there were NO firmware upgrades available. That being the case, I don't know what the previous Firmware version was. 😕

Any luck if you go to the following address? http://<ip_address>/dbbroker?start_svc=ssh

Re: Firmware update still says 'Upgrading'; Moving to FW 6.6.1
No, nothing. This is the screen that comes up when I scan for it. 1 NIC shows an internal (pingable) IP and the other being the NetGear default I believe. BOTH IPs are wrong. The 1st is now being assigned by DHCP and the 2nd one, should be in the 10.0.10.x network which is directly connected to the VM Server for Veeam Replication/BU on that NIC.

Tech Support Mode is most likely the way to go, but as I'm no longer with NETGEAR Support, I can't help you with that.
Your best bet, imo, is to contact NETGEAR Support, insisting on the fact that this condition is due to the firmware upgrade (might seems obvious but...).
