FreeAgent XTreme (without workarounds)
Hello,
the Seagate FreeAgent Xtreme comes with eSATA, USB and two Firewire Ports (which I still don't understand)
I can confirm that my german model from 2009 works like a charm with my 2010 DUO.
Didn't change any power saving settings on the FreeAgent since I use it mostly on the eSATA Port of my Desktop PC or Laptop.

Re: FreeAgent XTreme (without workarounds)
Firewire devices can be daisy-chained, hence the two ports. What a nice interconnect technology; but as with most things, "cheaper" (USB) usually wins out over "better."
