Help with NAS Pro 6 rescue
Hello all
I have a readyNas Pro 6
Unfortuantely its firmware is corupt and I can not get the unit to boot up, it hangs whilst booting.
Can anyone help me with what to do and how to reset / reinstall firmware / OS and get it up and running again?
Either on OS4 or OS6 if possible (preferred although i know its not officially supported).
Thank you so much

Re: Help with NAS Pro 6 rescue
The OS reinstall and the factory default procedures are describe on pages 28-29 here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RNDU2000/ReadyNAS_Ultra_UltraPlus_NVX_Pro_HW_en_8July11.p...
The OS reinstall should be non-destructive. It will reset the NAS admin password to netgear1 and change the network configuration to DHCP.
The factory default is destructive - it will reformat the disks and do a clean factory install. So all data will be lost.
You could also contact paid Netgear support (my.netgear.com) if you are the original purchaser. Ask about "per-incident" support.
