Is NetGear planning new models with new CPUs from Intel?
Hi
I am interested in purchasing readynas. I would like to know if Netgear is planning to release new revisions to he hardware using new cpus from Intel considering that it is close to 2 years since the current gen of hw.

Thanks for question. As I'm sure you can appreciate we can't comment on our future product plans.
You can look at our past product release history and come to your own conclusions as to what you think we might do. For example we released the first models from the Ultra Series back in July 2010 and the 300 series in March 2013.
We feel our current products offer great value. The 300 series, 516 and 716x in our desktop line all use Intel CPUs and provide great performance. We have been working hard to make changes at the software level to improve performance further.
We have a major firmware upgrade 6.2.0 coming soon, a free upgrade for all our devices that run ReadyNAS OS 6.
