Mapping webdav as drive - Windows 7
Since always I had a Public folder available via ftp and webdav but to be honest I never used webdav. Uploading files was always a pain via webdav.
Until yesterday when I found out that you can map a webdav folder as a drive under Windows.
I know most of you probably have "discovered" that amazing feature but maybe there is someone out there who still haven't 🙂

What model NAS do you have (also what firmware is it running). Is WebDAV configured in Frontview? Can you ping the NAS?

Is the NAS on your local LAN or are you accessing it over the internet?

I am accessing it over the internet. I'm in Malaysia and the ReadyNAS is in Aussie.

Re: Mapping webdav as drive - Windows 7
Your company firewall has to be set up to forward the https port to the NAS - otherwise the connection cannot be established.
They would likely prefer you to use a VPN. Either way you will need to work with your company's IT folks.
