Spoiler

Dear Netgare Team,

We have installed Netgare NAS RN4321 (latest firmware) and transferred all data from windows server to NAS with all permission and security rights.

All of sudden, permission of all folders gets change automatically and set new permission with new unix users (unix users 0001 ,0002 ,0003……) after that windows users not able to access folders / files (asses denied)

Attaching some images of the same.

Kindly give the solution for the same

Hi @Shrikantkadam

Welcome to the Community!

Your NAS is joined on an AD? How did you transferred the data?

Regards

Re: NAS replacing windows rights to unix rights

Judging by the screenshot it seems that the user IDs are not mapped to a name on the NAS. As @Marc_V  said, is the NAS successfully joined to AD?

If it is joined, can you try and re-import users and groups from AD (click "Refresh ADS Accounts" button).

And if you aren't using AD, then you needed to create the NAS usernames and groups on the new NAS.  It'll be a fair amount of work to remap the file owners to the correct users now.  Do you need to do that, or are you just wanting to regain access for the windows users?
